Compression FAQ

How do I compress images online?

Choose your images, select a compression mode, and process them. Custom compression lets you adjust quality, dimensions, and output format.

Does Pictogo upload my images?

No. Compression runs locally in your browser, so image files are not uploaded to a server by default.

Will compression affect image quality?

It depends on the mode. Balanced works for most images, High Quality preserves more detail, and Maximum Compression makes the clearest trade-off in quality.

Which image formats are supported?

You can output JPG, PNG, and WebP. GIF, BMP, and AVIF input depend on browser decoding; TIFF is not currently supported.
